Classic Room

There are three rooms in this category – Maela (second-floor), Emma (first-floor) and Stow (ground-floor). Emma and Maela are in the main house and overlook the garden. Stow is in the coach house, and has a second flatscreen TV in the bathroom. Each room has a double bed, CD/DVD player and iPod dock, as well as an ensuite bathroom. Emma and Stow have a combined bath and shower; Maela has a shower and separate tub.

Deluxe Room

Of the seven deluxes, four are in the main house (Faye, Rose, Lydia and Charlotte) and the rest (Cedar, Moreton and Elm) are in the hotel’s separate coach house. Faye and Rose overlook the garden; Faye has a double bed and Rose has a queen-size bed. Charlotte and Lydia are on the second floor, and both have king-size beds that can be converted into twins. Charlotte has its own entrance hallway; Lydia has window seats and a claw-foot bath. In the coach house, Cedar on the ground floor and Elm on the first both have chaises longues, and big ensuites separated from the bedroom by a full-height glass screen. Cedar has a queen-size bed and Elm has a double; both have bath tubs in their bedrooms. Moreton, on the first floor, has a queen-size bed and can be connected to the Longborough Suite. All Deluxes have ensuites with separate walk-in showers. A baby cot (free) or extra bed (£50 a night) can be added to Charlotte and Morten. Cots only can be added to all other rooms except Lydia.

Kate has two big windows, a four-poster bed and an ensuite with both a shower above a p-shaped bath tub. Aimee and June both have king-size beds that can be made into twins, and sloped ceilings. Their ensuites have separate baths and showers – Aimee has twin sinks. Beech’s king-size bed can also be converted to twins, and it has a handmade leather-topped desk and cosy sofa. Each of these rooms have room for an extra bed. A baby cot (free) and an extra bed can be added to Beech (or two baby cots), two extra beds or two baby cots can be added to Dune; all other rooms can fit an extra bed and baby cot.

Antoinette has a four-poster reached by some steps. Nina’s beds can be either king-size or twin. Both overlook the garden. Longborough can be interconnected to Moreton. It has its own dressing room, too. Each Suite has a walk-in shower and separate tub, and room for up to two extra beds.

The two Garden Suites are in the coach house. Valentine has a big four-poster, a fireplace, and an ensuite with two bath tubs and a spacious walk-in shower. Magnolia has a striking hand-made bed, a cosy sofa, and a big wet-room shower in the ensuite; it can be made into a twin room, and has disabled access. Both rooms have mullioned windows, and French doors that open out into a private garden, where there’s a hot tub. A baby cot (free) and one extra bed (£50 a night) can be added to Valentine; Magnolia has space for a single sofabed, a baby cot and an extra bed.
