Sleep like royalty in the Charles I Suite, where the former monarch himself once slumbered before battle during the English Civil War – heraldry above the fireplace marks his visit. This suite is decorated with original features, antiques – like the grand four-poster bed – and luxury soft fabrics. The beautifully furnished Gordon Russell Suite pays tribute to the visionary Broadway designer; you’ll find his pieces dotted throughout. This spacious suite has a king-size bed in the bedroom and two separate lounges which can accommodate three extra beds. From the 16th-century beamed ceiling to the original wooden floor, the Great Chamber showcases antiques and charming period features. The king-size bed and comfy sofa are topped with cosy throws, and the suite offers views over Broadway.
