Designed by local artist Stephen Ellwood, this room (9sq m) is an ode to restfulness, with serene white walls, minimal decor and views out to the hamlet of Oak Hill. Vintage accents, well-worn floorboards and dark-wood antiques line the space, including a black-and-white canvas depicting the surrounding area from a century ago. A mid-century armchair sits in one corner; a book-stacked writing desk in another; and a linen-dressed, iron-frame double bed rests beside a sash window. The ensuite bathrooms completes the look with vintage subway tiles, a monsoon shower, locally-made vegetable soaps and ethical toiletries. Free bottled water and WiFi is available throughout.
