Raja Ampat Route (November to March)

  • 6guests
An archipelago of more than 1,500 thickly-forested islands, Raja Ampat is paradise for divers, naturalists and beachlovers. Scattered across Indonesia's eastern province of Papua, the region is one of the least developed areas of the entire country – and it shows. Full of vibrant reefs home to untold numbers of exotic creatures, Raja Ampat has one of the most biodiverse marine habitats in the world. This 10-night itinerary takes you to some of its most beautiful, dramatic and secluded spots, and you’ll land on no fewer than nine islands (along with smaller satellites), ensuring an ever-changing safari of grand proportions. Guests have exclusive use of Sequoia, which has three bedrooms made from teak and ironwood. Accessed by a miniature spiral staircase, the (master) Island Suite has a hand-carved king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom in which the floor, twin sinks and walk-in shower are made of solid Caesarstone. The Island and Ocean Suites each have a handmade king-size bed (twins are available) and an ensuite bathroom with a Caesarstone sink and walk-in shower. All three also have free WiFi; flatscreen TV; Marshall speaker; tea- and coffee-making kit; free bottled water; Bathe bath products.

Komodo & East Flores Route (June to September)

  • 6guests
Lying to the south of the Flores Sea, the island of Komodo is the ancestral home of the mighty komodo dragon, left to grow to vast sizes on these far-flung shores. Once you’ve set sail, you’ll first make landfall on Sangeang island, passing the Sangeang Api volcano on the way, which is often backlit by pinkish clouds at sunset. The next four days will be spent working through Banta, Lawa Laut and Rinca islands, all home to world-class dive sites, untouched shores and lush, hilly interiors. Day six and seven are on Komodo itself, an island of wild contrasts, with rugged mountains, savannah and one of the world’s few pink beaches. All three also have free WiFi; a flatscreen TV; Marshall speaker; tea- and coffee-making kit; free bottled water and Bathe bath products.

Moluccass & Kaimana Route (March, April & October only)

  • 6guests
One of the lesser-trodden regions of West Papua, Kaimana is a 6000 square kilometre marine reserve that’s home to an extraordinary variety of sea life. Researchers working in Fak Fak and Triton Bay counted over 1,000 varieties of fish, 471 types of coral and 28 different mantis shrimp, some of which look like they’ve been daubed with a dozen shades of fluorescent paint. When you make landfall, you can search for lost villages and ancient wall writing hidden deep in the lush forests. In terms of wildlife, full-throated birds of paradise and henna-red tree kangaroos are just two of the unusual species that call them home. Kaimana Regency is also said to have the best sunset in the whole Indonesian archipelago, and there's no better place to watch it than Sequoia's skydeck. The Banda Islands (October only)

  • 6guests
The ten volcanic Banda Islands were once the world’s sole source of nutmeg and mace, a gold-like commodity controlled by the Dutch East India Company for nearly 200 years. After some tree pilfering by the British, the plantations lost their former value and the island fell back into its natural form – a nigh-forgotten pocket of tropical paradise. Vast and remote, the Banda archipelago is home to world-class dive sites, dramatic landscapes and fascinating culture: the indigenous Bandanese have rituals and customs seen nowhere else in the world.
