WiFi throughout. In rooms: fully equipped kitchen.
As the floors get higher, the sea views get better and the peace increases. Villa suites, secluded below the main hotel, all have private pools and uninterrupted ocean views.
There is a gated and heated outdoor, saltwater pool, which is tended by a lifeguard daily and locked at night. Some suites have private pools for a dip straight off the deck, and if you’re leaving the Little Smith’s in the kid’s club there are two adults-only pools (one up on the roof) at the adults-only Royal Hideaway Corales Beach, next door.
Tiptoe over the grass to sister property Corales Beach to use the spa. Its relaxation pool, steam room and sauna are open to Suites guests aged 16 or over, as is its menu of body and beauty treatments. If your suite has a private pool, you can book a floating mindfulness and massage session.
Even with no plans to swim, you’ll need bathers to spare your modesty at the unisex spa. Mr Smith will need trousers and closed shoes to meet the evening restaurant dress code.
All communal areas are wheelchair and pushchair friendly, and there is a pool hoist but no wheelchair-accessible suites. Eight suites at sister property Royal Hideaway Corales Beach are adapted for wheelchair access.
All ages are welcome and even the smallest suites sleep two adults and two children (in one double and one sofa bed). Extra beds and cots (for under-4s) can be added to all rooms, and babysitting’s available with 24 hours notice (for an extra charge).
Best for
All ages.
Recommended rooms
All suites are spacious enough to host families; as a minimum, there is room for one extra bed and a cot or cot bed in the smallest suites.
Activities
The kid’s club is open to children aged four to 12, and activities are arranged each day around a particular interest, such as science, drama, art or the environment. The idea is to encourage supervised free play that helps Little Smiths discover new interests and develop new skills.
Swimming pool
The family-friendly saltwater pool is heated, and there’s a separate paddling pool. Both are gated and locked at night, and a lifeguard is in attendance from 10.30am till 6pm.
Meals
Highchairs are provided, but you’ll need your own bibs. There’s no children’s sitting – the emphasis here is on relaxed family dining, and both restaurants serve menus devised with children in mind, with the buffet set-up at Olivia Mediterranean Market especially helpful if you have fussy eaters in tow. The kitchens are happy to adapt dishes on request where possible, and will heat milk or baby food. All suites have a minibar with a selection of soft drinks, and there’s space in your suite fridge for all the snacks and baby food you need.
Babysitting
You can book a babysitter for €18 an hour with 24 hours’ notice.
No need to pack
An exhaustive first aid kit: hotel staff can arrange medical assistance at any time.
Also
There’s no baby listening, and the size of the hotel makes baby monitors impractical.
