Situated on the top floor of the 16th-century Palazzo Ruspoli, this 600sq ft apartment has a beautiful roof garden with a sitting area overlooking panoramic views of Rome's skyline, dotted with pretty terracotta pots of lavender. The entrance to the suite is via a spiral staircase that leads to an elegant sitting room, which opens out to the spacious, airy terrace. The bedroom, leading off from the living room, has low ceilings, a king-size bed (twin beds on request); there's a bathroom with a bath tub and walk-in shower.

A beautifully restored apartment within a classic Roman palazzo, this comes with massive wooden doors and an elegant arcade of Doric columns at the entrance. A grand marble staircase, lined with antique marble busts of Roman emperors, leads up to the apartment, where you'll find two large reception rooms and a large master bedroom – complete with a large canopied bed draped with beautiful fabrics and silks. There's a fully equipped kitchenette too. Up a small flight of stairs is the second bedroom, the Blue Room, has a Delftware palette, with plentiful china vases and pots, a double bed, bookshelf with art tomes and elegant antiques, and it has a second bathroom with a bath tub.
