Our favourite rooms
We’re particularly enamoured with the Aravali suites; it’s all about their beautiful balconies, which are perfect for leisurely breakfasts à deux (and the spacious ensuite bathrooms tip the scale even further). Garden Suites, while not in the main part of the palace, have their own tented lounge terraces.
Poolside
The heated granite pool dominates the main terrace and has panoramic views over the rolling hillside. The pool is flanked by ivory-white daybeds, both with and without billowing canopies, and drinks and snacks can be ordered poolside, too.
Spa
Choose from classic massages, beauty rituals, holistic treatments and health-centric yoga sessions in the rose-, jasmine- and sandalwood-scented Raas spa; for next-level unwinding, go for one of the Devi Blessings, two-hour treatments designed to calm and recalibrate your nerves. All treatments use ethical and eco-friendly products. There's also a mineral-enriched Himalayan Salt cave and a menu of health-nurturing nibbles and drinks, including herbal teas.
Packing tips
Bring jewel-toned dresses, classically beautiful swimsuits, and that book you’ve been meaning to read; pack sturdy shoes and lightweight linens if you plan on trekking around the local area.
Also
Original construction on the palace was in 1760, and there are stairs throughout, so it may not be suitable for guests with mobility constraints.

Sustainability efforts
Sustainability is a key principle across all Raas hotels. At Raas Jodhpur, 70 per cent of building materials came from within a 30km radius of the property; water is heated using solar power and, where possible, water consumption is reduced or recycled for use in the organic vegetable gardens; the air-conditioning systems are also low-carbon. In 2016, Raas removed single-use plastic from all its properties. Raas has also renovated schools around the area and refurbished a stepwell for the village which farmers to use to irrigate their lands.
