Sit back in one of the low-slung Luna lounge chairs and let your ‘flight attendant’ treat you to popcorn, inventive snacks, home-made ice-cream, popcorn-inspired cocktails and icy champagne. Our favourite rooms
It’s gotta be the Sunset Studio, which has two balconies so you can spy on the stars at night and the ocean, pool and sunset by day. This bright blue studio also has its own bar and on-loan bartender, and can connect to one of the Grand Studios, making it a good choice for sociable holidaymakers.
Lined with Mondrian-inspired, colour-block mosaics, the pool is surrounded by loungers for those who’d rather keep their heads above water and recline with a granita or something boozy.
Daft Punk-inspired helmets for cycling and motorbike tours. Outdoorsy types should bring swimmers for posing on the nearby Seminyak Beach, surfing, scuba-diving and the boat trips that staff can arrange.
In-room spa treatments can be arranged upon request, as can pampering by the pool. Health and fitness programmes are available at the pool podium, Fuel Station: pick from boxfit on the beach to yoga in Space. Smokers can light up in Pop! bar and Space.
Mini Smiths of all ages are welcome: cots (for under-4s) and extra beds (for under-12s) are free (US$75 a night for over-13s) and available on request. Babysitting can be arranged, with two hours’ notice (or 24, if it’s a night slot).
Chirpy tweens and independent teens.
With floating kitchen counter and plenty of lounge space, the Grand Studios are available to interconnect with Studio rooms, which have the added bonus of a secluded kids’ corner for prime viewing of the retro Brionvega TV.
Young ’uns will happily spend their days rummaging through the books, gaming consols, movies and board games at LunaPlex, the in-house cinema. Supervised by Luna2’s kids’ coordinator, surfing classes, swimming and cooking lessons, sight-seeing excursions and fitness sessions can be arranged upon request.
The swimming pool is totally tot-friendly and arm bands and swimming aids can be supplied.
Tots are welcome in Orbit, which has a 'junior gastronauts' menu (dishes include prawn cocktail, garlic snails and lemon meringue pie). Highchairs can be provided.
Babysitters are available any time of day (two hours’ notice required) at no charge. Night-time services are also available, but must be arranged one day in advance.
