Deposit Policy

A deposit will be taken to confirm your booking with Smith Global Ltd. Should you need to cancel your stay, as long as you do so before the hotel's cancellation policy comes into effect, this deposit will be refunded in full. La Residence requires a further deposit of 25% of the booking total, which will be charged to you directly by the hotel. The remaining balance is due prior to arrival. For stays during peak season (January February November and December) a non-refundable 25 per cent deposit is required within seven days of booking. For stays between 15 December and 15 January full payment is due by 31 August. For stays at all other times a 25 per cent deposit is required within 14 days of booking and the remaining balance is due six weeks before arrival. Payment must be made either via a direct wire transfer instruction or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) in South African Rand (ZAR). A secure payment link will be sent from the hotel after you make your booking; follow this link to pay your deposit. Please note: there is a 2 per cent admin fee on all credit card transactions.

Luxury Suite

Each of the six Luxury Suites is individually decorated with antique furnishings and original artworks to match their unique colour scheme and style. All have a king-size bed (the Tang Suite can be set up as twins) and an ensuite bathroom with underfloor heating and a freestanding bath tub. The Honeysuckle (35sq m), Tang (33sq m) and Hibiscus (33sq m) Suites each have a veranda which leads out to the hotel gardens; and the Tibetan (33sq m), Armani (33sq m) and Nomatemba (33sq m) Suites have a balcony with views across the grounds to the mountains beyond. All have a flatscreen TV, DVD/CD player, Molton Brown and Charlotte Rhys bath products, air-conditioning, minibar with free bottled water, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Superior Suite

The five Superior Suites are all individually decorated with opulent, antique furnishings and original artworks to match their unique colour scheme and style. All have a king-size bed (Disa, Huguenot and Chambre Bleu Suites have four-poster beds, and the Frangipani Suite has under-mattress heating) and an ensuite bathroom with underfloor heating and a freestanding bath tub. The Disa, Huguenot and Maharani Suites have balconies overlooking the grounds and mountains beyond – Maharani has two balconies; and the Frangipani and Chambre Bleu Suites have verandas leading out to the hotel gardens – the Chambre Bleu Suite has two private terraces. All have a flatscreen TV, DVD/CD player, Molton Brown and Charlotte Rhys bath products, air-conditioning, minibar with free bottled water, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

One Bedroom Vineyard Suite with Loft

This suite is decorated in rich red tones with luxurious fabrics, antique-style furnishings and artworks interspersed between the two floors. Downstairs, the main bedroom has a king-size bed, an adjoining seating area with a stone fireplace, a black and white marble ensuite bathroom with a freestanding bath tub and separate shower, and a private veranda. Upstairs, the loft has twin beds and an ensuite shower room with views across the valley. Each has a private plunge pool and direct access to the hotel’s gardens. The master bedrooms have a king-size bed, and the second bedrooms have either a king-size bed or twins. In the central living room antique Chinese screens stand alongside Moorish side-tables in vibrant-orange and elegant crystal chandeliers hang from the tall pitched-ceiling.
