Inspired by the ‘earth clan’ of gardeners, carpenters, miners and blacksmiths, villas emulate traditional cottages, albeit in more luxurious fashion. An expanse of rainforest stretches out below the super-sized stays (126sq m), and with a terrace and private pool, and an outdoor shower, there’s ample opportunity to admire the verdure. There’s a four-poster in the bedroom – decked out in tribal prints and natural wood accents – and floor-to-ceiling windows. The ensuite is equally earthy, with stone floors and bamboo decorations, with a monsoon shower and separate egg-shaped bath tub, and twin sinks. Sheltered under huge domed canvases, these villas take inspiration from abodes built by nomadic clans. The bedroom is on the upper level so that guests can gaze out upon the rainforest from the four-poster king-size bed. Sliding doors lead out to a balcony with swinging day-beds.
