Gaige House Queen Guestroom
This 250sq ft room is on the garden level and has a private entrance. The queen-size bed is dressed in crisp white linens, and there’s an ensuite bathroom with either a walk-in shower or a bath tub with an overhead shower.
Gaige House King Guestroom
This 315sq ft bedroom has a king-size bed dressed in crisp white linens and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower or bath tub with an overhead shower (either way, you get to clamber into fluffy cotton robes post-bathe).
Glen Ellen King
Accessed through a private entrance, these 400sq ft rooms are on the ground floor of the main house. Each room has a king-size bed and a private deck overlooking the hotel’s Japanese-style gardens. The ensuite bathroom has either a walk-in shower or an over-bath shower. There’s also free WiFi, a flatscreen TV, tea and coffee-making kit, and free bottled water.
Deluxe King Guestroom
This 315sq ft Deluxe King room has the added appeal of a two-person whirlpool bath tub. There’s a king-size bed in the bedroom.
Creekside Suite (ADA)
This large room has 600sq ft of space, with a king-size bed in the bedroom, a sitting area next to the fireplace, and a private karesansui rock garden terrace overlooking Calabazas Creek. In the bathroom there’s a deep granite bath tub and a double walk-in shower. Japanese yukata robes and geta slippers are provided, along with a bottle of sake and tub of mochi ice cream.

Ryokan Zen Garden Suite
This is a little piece of Japan in rural California – a 715sq ft suite decorated in traditional ryokan style. The theme continues outside, in the private karesansui rock garden complete with a table and chairs for al fresco dining. Japanese slippers (indoor and outdoor) are provided, along with yukata robes, mochi ice cream and a bottle of sake. There’s a king-size bed in the bedroom, while the ensuite bathroom features a deep granite bath tub and double shower.
Ryokan Zen Creekside Suite
This 650sq ft ryokan-inspired suite has a private patio and karesansui rock garden backing onto Calabazas Creek. There’s a king-size bed in the bedroom and a deep granite bath tub in the bathroom, along with a double shower and twin sinks. Additional Japanese touches include an organic green tea service, mochi ice cream, yukata robes and a bottle of sake.
