These rooms are decked out in folk-chic style, with woven rugs, cabinets painted with flowers, wooden floors and prettily patterned linens. All have a comfy double bed and share a full kitchen. Room 3 is in the White House; its master bedroom is set in a loft with exposed wooden beams, and an ensuite with a bath tub. Room 4 is in the White House’s former summer kitchen; it has a snug living area, brick furnace, ensuite with a walk-in shower, direct access to the garden and beautiful rural views. Room 5, in the Red House, has views of the fortified church, and an ensuite with exposed beams and a walk-in shower – keep an eye out for the 18th-century graffiti.

These rooms all have twin beds and are outfitted in fashionable rustic style, with woven rugs, brightly painted furnishings, wooden floors and locally made linens. All White House rooms share a kitchen-cum-dining room and a separate living area with its own fireplace. Room 1 (in the White House) has hill views, and an ensuite with a bath tub. Loft-set Room 2 – also in the White House –has views of the hills and fortified church, and a shower in the ensuite. Room 6, in the Red House, has direct access to the veranda and garden, and beautiful bronze showers imported from Italy; ask the owners to point out the secret passage that once connected it to the church nearby.
