Each of these six rooms is individually designed, in low-key yet luxe style (think, eye-catching artwork, toe-snuggling rugs, plump headboards and regal lamps). All except one (Room 15, a double) has a super-king-size bed. Room 3, in the main house has a walk-in shower and views overlooking the mature gardens (this would work well as a family room). Room 6 is in the attic and has lower ceilings, a large bathroom and views of the front of the house. Room 8, also in the attic, has low beamed ceilings, a bathroom with a bath tub and two entry steps. Room 9, another attic room, has a bath tub and lovely views of the green. Room 14 is set in the stable blocks and has garden views, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a couple of steps to the door; this room can be twinned on request and there’s a sofa bed. And room 15, set towards the back of the stable blocks, is very peaceful with an ensuite shower; however, you may hear Longleat’s lions roaring here – a plus for some. All rooms have a TV, radio, Siberian goose-down duvets, tea- and coffee-making kit, Bramley bath products and free WiFi.
