Designer Kelly Wearstler looked to Austin’s grand Arts and Crafts homes for style inspiration when designing the hotel. Here, walls clad in Texan elmwood are livened up with patterned panels and works by local artists. The king-size bed is dressed in fine imported linens and a custom woollen throw (a Simmons Providence mattress makes for very sound sleeps), windows offer a partial view of the city and there’s a seating area and an ensuite bathroom lined in Blue Emperador marble with a walk-in rain shower.
