Follow cake connoisseur Frank Adrian Barron through the history and tastes of French chocolates, delicate pastries and cream-filled cakes.
Even the sweet-toothiest of travellers should opt for a savoury breakfast before this sugar-filled tour. You’ll meet in Saint-Germain-des-Prés and sample your way through the chocolatiers, pastry shops and confectioners of central Paris. You’ll meander your way up to the Marais on this bon-bon of an experience.
Frank Adrian Barron
His prowess in creating dreamy, buttercream-covered cakes (and sharing them with lucky friends) earned Frank Adrian Barron the nickname ‘Cakeboy’ not long after his 2012 move to Paris from San Francisco. Frank does all of his baking in the Marais and his cakes are sold in a select few cafés across the neighbourhood. When he’s not elbow-deep in sugar and flour, Frank can be found exploring the streets of Paris in search of mille-feuille and Mont Blanc – research for his upcoming book, of course. He’s passionate about the taste, the process and the history of Parisian baking and, in our opinion, takes the cake for giving magnifique sweet-treat tours.
