Ludovico Pratesi

Art curator and critic

Art curator and critic Ludovico Pratesi is the artistic director of the Centro Arti Visive Pescheria of Pesaro – where he holds public conferences on contemporary art – and director of the Fondazione Guastalla for contemporary art. For the past three decades, Ludovico’s been curating exhibitions, conferences, and events on contemporary art in public museums and private galleries, and has also contributed to Le Monde, Flash Art and Artribune. He’s currently working on several television projects and an exhibition series with the British Council in Rome.

Where you'll go

You’ll meet in the heart of Centro Storico and stroll through town to Piazza dell'Orologio before stepping through the doors of an art collector’s private apartment, where you’ll learn about the impressive assortment of contemporary artwork – paintings, photography, sculptures and more. The second private collection you’ll visit is a mix of baroque, rococo and modern works. You’ll then wrap up this exclusive experience with a look at a modern collection of works by Italian artists and international greats.

You’ll see Marina Abramovic photography, early Vik Muniz caramel paintings, Chen Zen sculptures, Alighiero Boetti textiles, Baroque and Rococo paintings, works by contemporary artists – Matt Collishaw, Hans Op de Beck, Pietro Ruffo, Damien Hirst and Matthew Barney, among others.
