South Londoner Naomi has a lifelong passion for food: she’s run her blog, The Ginger Gourmand, for over a decade, written for a range of top food magazines – including Delicious – and co-founded the London bake club Band of Bakers, which was featured on Paul Hollywood’s BBC2 series, Bread. Naomi has also run a pop-up tea room at south-east London’s Sunday Art Salon, baked for several local cafés and hosted a successful Soho supper club.

Where you'll go
You’ll swing by Brick Lane’s famous 24-hour bagel shop, explore the bakeries of Columbia Road, meet the head baker at a Hackney sourdough-focused bakery and see what the organic-flour fuss is about at an independent bakery. Sample cakes made by Clair Ptak – the creator of Harry and Meghan’s wedding cake – and get to know other local bakeries of note, including Fabrique, St John Bread & Wine, Crosstown Doughnuts, Bread Ahead and more.
What you'll sample
You’ll tuck into traditional smoked salmon and cream cheese beigels, sourdough breads and pastries, Danish pastries, organic breads, coffee with pretty cakes, sweetly spiced Nordic rolls, fluffy doughnuts and other card-loaded delights. This experience can be adapted to suit most dietary requirements, but guests will get the most out of the day if they’re hungry to sample all of East London’s baked goods.
