Hungry Birds
A fruitful chance encounter led Zosia Konieczna and Esther-Hanna Van der Meer to connect over home-cooked dishes in a remote province of Indonesia, shortly after the two had graduated with degrees in tourism management. After bonding in Indonesia, Zosia went on to Vietnam for her first food tour, which inspired her to start a street-food experience in Amsterdam; Esther-Hanna was game, and so their food-centric enterprise was hatched. When the two aren’t leading hungry travellers around the city, they’ll likely be tucking into their own favourite dishes.
Spectacularly spiced layer cakes, crispy Dutch kroketten, caramel-filled stroopwafels fresh from the waffle iron and juniper-laced jenever
