When to go

Skip Puglia’s peak months and visit Parabita in the spring or autumn (in August, there’s the Sagra della Puccia festival, which is dedicated to bread).

Getting there

  • Planes

    Touch down at Brindisi Airport, which is about an hour’s drive from Parabita.

  • Trains

    Direct trains from pretty much all of Italy’s superstar cities arrive at Lecce’s station. From here, Parabita is a 40-minute drive away.

    While charming, this town is on the small side, and you can’t really expand your horizons here without a car, so to make the most of your stay, pick up some wheels.
