Getting there

• Planes

  Girona – Costa Brava airport is the closest, about a 50-minute drive away, although Barcelona (about a two-hour drive away) has more domestic and international arrivals.

• Trains

  Girona train station (which has links to Montpellier) is around an hour’s drive away.

• Automobiles

  Palafrugell itself is walkable, but you’ll cover its four kilometres fairly fast, so acquire a car for exploring further afield.
