The population of La Baule peaks in July and August each year, when many Parisians stay for weeks.

Getting there

  • Planes

    Nantes Atlantique is the closest airport – the drive to La Baule will take around 90 minutes – and is served by Air France, KLM, EasyJet and a handful of other carriers. Direct flights can be booked from select cities across Europe, including London, Paris, Marseille and Amsterdam.
  • Trains

    SNCF trains pull into La Baule Escoublac station; the journey from Paris Montparnasse Station takes about three hours.
  • Automobiles

    The drive from Paris to La Baule takes about four-and-a-half hours. You’re unlikely to need a car during your stay unless you plan to explore more of Brittany.
