Luxury holidays in Windsor

When to go

Though summer beckons the (rather fickle) English sun, it also draws lines of tourists waiting to catch a glimpse of a certain someone from within her castle. A smart choice would be autumn when old Albion’s greens turn feisty shades of burnt orange and reds, or winter when the woodland of Great Windsor Park is illuminated with dazzling lights and projections.

Getting there

  • Planes

The closest international hub is London Heathrow Airport. Find direct flights here from most major UK and European cities, as well as from the USA, Asia and the Middle East. Take a direct train from the airport which will get you there in just under an hour.
  • Automobiles

With a compact town centre and miles of picturesque walking trails, Windsor is a fine opportunity to ditch the car in pursuit of your 10k a day. Though if you plan on exploring the full range of Berkshire’s offerings, there are several rental options available.
