Its centrepiece is the lavish, dark-oak canopied four-poster whose swaths of deep-red velvet and tassel fringes hide crisp white linen sheets. The floor-to-ceiling curtains hanging in the long elegant windows match the velvet of the bed. The dark-wood floors are covered in antique Asian rugs.
