The Lodge Ronda’s modern milk-and-honey coloured guesthouse and spa is set in a 28-acre private estate, amid Andalucia’s sierras and gorges. The sister property to nearby La Fuenta de la Higuera offers luxury self-catering in dramatic surrounds, with lush gardens, Michelin-trained chefs and four-poster beds. The property sleeps 14 and is perfect for an idyllic get-away with family or friends.

- Rates information €6,881 a week for the whole property for up to 14 guests, including a nine per cent discount but excluding tax at eight per cent. You can also add on a range of catering options, from ‘country’ (includes breakfast and one home-cooked local lunch, €35.00 a person), ‘deluxe’ (daily breakfast and a daily changing three-course gourmet dinner, €49.50 a person) and ‘perfect’ (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, the daily changing three-course gourmet dinner, €68 a person). For shorter stays, rental is €983 per night.

- Booking process Smith deposit taken when you book. To confirm a booking, a 30 per cent non-refundable payment is required and the remaining 70 per cent should be paid by bank transfer at least six weeks prior to arrival. For cancellations made between six weeks and seven days prior to the planned date of arrival, 70 per cent of the total cost will be charged. For cancellations made within the seven days prior to arrival, the full amount will be charged.
- Also Smokers can light up on the outside terraces. If you want to bring pets, this can be arranged, as long as you’re happy for them to bed down in the great outdoors.

- There are seven double or twin bedrooms sleeping up to 14 guests, five around the patio and two set in the well-kept gardens. There are three double and four twin-bedded rooms. All have en-suite bathrooms and a private terrace or garden.

Room 5: A north-facing double room with one four-poster bed and an open fire.
Room 6: A compact but pretty south-facing garden room with two single separate four-poster beds.

Kitchen
The kitchen is all open space, so you can sit at the big dining table and admire the chef’s culinary artistry in action, or have a natter with your crew over abandoned books and magazines. -
Living room
This is a relaxing space in cream and white, warmed up with amber and caramel accents. There are big squashy sofas to pile on to, wooden surfaces aplenty and lots of natural light. -
Dining room
Enjoy different dining settings without even leaving the property – eat at the Long Table, on your private terrace adjoining your room or in the grassy-green grounds. -
Poolside
There’s an outdoor pool with sun loungers so you can top up your blossoming tan then cool off with a dip. -
