Staying Cool Rotunda
Birmingham, United Kingdom
Getting there
- Trains Regular services run between London Euston and Birmingham New Street, taking less than an hour and a half. New Street also serves many other destinations in the UK, including Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Scotland. The station is a three-minute walk from the Rotunda.
- Local taxi service Cabs can be flagged in the street easily enough, and there are ranks beside New Street station, the Mailbox shopping complex, Broad Street, and other busy spots. If you want to prebook, try TOA (+44 (0)121 427 8888) or Falcon Cars (+44 (0)121 603 6666), both of which will pick you up from outside the Rotunda (beside the tourist office) and will call to let you know when they’re there. For car hire, click on our Travel Offers page. Smithcard holders get a 10 per cent discount with Hertz.
- Automobiles From the south, take the M1 or the M40 to the M42, then hop on the A34 and follow the signs to the Bullring car park. If you’re coming from the north, leave the M6 at junction 10, and take the A454 towards Walsall, coming off onto the A4148 and then the A34.
