Wow, what a beautiful cottage in a truly beautiful location. The Cotswolds doesn't get any better than this. The Castle Combe Inn has had a refit and is now up to the standard that it should be in Castle Combe, and a neighbour of the truly stunning Manor House Hotel. The staff in the Inn are exceptionally friendly too, and the food is good. The walk around the village is also worth the effort to burn off all that wonderful food.

We had a great stay at Mead Cottage. It really is beautiful and felt like a home away from home. The breakfast treats provided were delicious, as was the champagne. The village definitely lived up to its name as one of the prettiest in England, but obviously we wanted to explore further so we took a drive up to Broadway. We would really recommend this if you fancy a day out in Worcester. It's about an hour’s drive away and is home to the Broadway Tower, which you can climb to see fantastic views over several different counties and even as far as Wales. Arrive early to explore the village and shops, grab some lunch and do the beautiful circular walk to the Tower, then head to The Swan gastro pub for dinner. The perfect day out.
