Floor plan

  • Plush carpets run throughout these apartments, so remember to pack your slippers. Beds with memory foam big enough for two are standard as are alarm clocks – although you may find you want a lie-in thanks to the black-out shutter blinds and comfy mattresses.
  • Bedrooms

One-bed lower-ground garden flat: this has a simple, white bedroom with a black-block feature wall. There's a TV with a DVD player for watching movies. Oh, and fashion slaves will appreciate that there is plenty of wardrobe space. With regards the bathroom, the travertine flooring runs from the front door through. The bath is the original cast-iron tub with a shower, REN products, robes and fully towels.

One-bed ground-floor flat: there's a TV with DVD player in the bedroom, and a view out over the flat's garden. The bathroom is more focussed on function than form, but gets a dose of luxury thanks to the REN products and fluffy towels.

    Two-bedroom upper-storey apartment:

Bedroom 1: Mod-cons wise, there’s a flatscreen TV with DVD player, but you might need to prise your eyes from the view over Deal Castle, the signature white cliffs, and that coastline. Victorian radiators are a nice touch.

Bedroom 2: This bed is 5ft-wide rather than the usual 6ft-wide, but you’re hardly slumming it thanks to a flat screen and DVD again – no terrestrial telly in here though.

The shared walnut-and-travertine-trimmed bathroom has twin sinks, a massive walk-in shower, REN products and of course robes and fluffy towels for all.

  • Kitchen

Lower-ground garden flat: this oak-worktopped kitchen includes hob, oven, dishwasher, coffeemaker, microwave, fridge with icebox. One-bed flat: walnut flooring in kitchen area and plush carpet in the lounge area. There’s an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and microwave plus a fridge with icebox, and then loads of crockery, blenders and mixers and a coffeemaker. Two-bedroom upper-storey apartment: As well as posh versions of all the basics (double oven, dishwasher, five-burner gas hob, Dualit toaster) there are a fair few fancy extras (built-in coffee machine, American fridge/freezer with water and ice, blenders and mixers). Three stools mean you can prepare meals and also eat at the stunning cooking island.
  • Living room

Style meets slobbery in these sitting rooms that beg you to tune in, turn off and chill out. In the one-bed apartments they're open-plan areas, whereas in the two-bed apartment there is a huge sitting room upstairs. Hi-tech hijinks in all apartments comes from a plasma TV with surroundsound, a DVD library, iPod dock and also a Roberts Radio, and wifi throughout. Luddites staying in the big apartment will take more notice of the marvellous bay window with views of castle – especially amazing at night.
  • Dining room

There isn't a dining room as such in the one-bed flats, just tables and chairs in the lounge, although in the bigger upper apartment you've also got three stools at the huge cooking island and this room spills over into a huge day room with a huge dining table, which can seat up to six.
  • Poolside

You are but a walk from Deal's pebbly beach and a short drive to lots of other spots suited to swimming.
  • Gardens

Two of the apartments have access to the gravelled garden. There are steps down from the garden flat to a small courtyward. The two-bed apartment has a roof terrace and also access to the garden where there are chairs, a table and cushions for the chairs.
  • Private parking

There is on-street parking on Marine Road or the road adjacent to that.
  • Other

The two-bed apartment has a roof terrace perfect for a drink in the evening.
