Glass on Glasshouse
Style Bauhaus goes bush
Setting Rustic Glass House Mountains
While the nearby Sunshine Coast may be blessed with movie star good looks, chic self-catering Glass on Glasshouse is more of a natural beauty. This relaxed hinterland hideaway is home to three contemporary cottages that, though supremely stylish, prefer not to show off. Abundant native bushland and groves of mango and macadamia trees create a private setting, but there's nothing modest about the interiors, which offer king-size beds, seductive double spa baths and eco-friendly fireplaces. Floor-to-ceiling windows capture views of extinct volcanos, fertile forests and inquisitive kangaroos, and by night, the Milky Way delivers a dazzling display.
