Rustic on the outside, thoroughly modern on the inside, this cute Ibizan farmhouse near Santa Gertrudis has been given a new lease of life as a hip holiday home. Mostly open-plan, with two separate annexed guest bedrooms, this four-bedroomed finca has a suntrap of a swimming pool, a shared tennis court and a pool table.

• Children Can Shana is best suited to older, responsible children as there's a staircase without banisters and unwalled terraces. There's a highchair and travel cot available and lots of things for kids to do. As well as the swimming pool, there's access to a a shared tennis court.
• Booking process A 50 per cent deposit is required on booking, with full payment at least six weeks before arrival. A refundable security deposit is also required. Cancellation fees apply. Smith deposit taken when you book.

• Bedrooms

  All the bedrooms have traditional farmhouse windows, which means that the rooms are cool and shaded during the day and perfect if you want to have a siesta; they all have air-conditioning.
  
  Master bedroom: this large double is located on the first floor in the main house and it has an ensuite shower. Two doors lead onto the top terrace – this is not a deck for kiddiwinks though as it has low sides.
  Bedroom two: this standard double is located on the ground floor; there’s door that leads to the pathway that goes round the side of the house to the pool. There’s a bathroom next door that has a shower, but fans of in-room ablutions will enjoy the fun egg-shaped tub in the bedroom.
  
  Bedroom three: there are twin beds with mosquito nets in this room which  is located away from the main house has its own private entrance and small terrace. The bathroom has a shower.
  Bedroom four: this standard double located under bedroom three and it also has private entrance. There’s an ensuite shower.

• Kitchen The small kitchen is modern and fully equipped with a dishwasher, electric cooker and oven, a microwave grill oven, a built-in coffee machine. There’s a door that leads to the covered alfresco dining area by the pool and another that takes you to the barbecue area at the side. There is an additional fridge and freezer located in the garage.
• Living room Can Shana has a TV area with a plasma and DVD player and also sitting-room space with two sofas and an open fireplace.
• Dining room Inside, there’s a bench-style table that seats eight. Outside by the entrance there is a front porch that features more seating also for eight people.
• Poolside The pool is 3.5mx7m and is about 1m deep throughout.
• Gardens The grounds are mainly terraced around the pool with fantastic views over that verdant countryside and across to the tree-dotted mountains. The gardens are also walled with an electric gate which makes it feel very secure.
• Private parking Parking for up to four cars available within the premises.
• Other There's a covered area next to the garage with a pool table.
