Best picnic spot
Atlantis is the suitably mystical name for the spectacular cliff overlooking the myth-steeped island of Es Vedra. Rather unhelpfully it isn’t marked on maps nor is it signposted, but your best bet is to aim for the bay of Cala d'Hort and ask someone who looks local and wise!
Best beaches
You have Ibiza’s most impressive portfolio of beaches right on your lap here on this south-western swathe of the island. But in terms of headline acts, at Can Ananja you’re only a few minutes drive to Cala Jondal, which is especially beloved for its seafood restaurants.
Shopping
On the main road going back to Ibiza town on the right-hand side is Gourmandaise French deli and bakery, who also do takeaway food –their chicken curry is delicious! And as delicious as that Mediterranean cuisine is, it makes a nice, spicy diversion.
Smith Tip
The infinity pool here was made for lazing in the water. Position yourself in the shallow end and you can cunningly rest your head on the edge of the pool and lie lengthways on the gentle slope.
