Bedrooms
Allenvale offers four standalone rural wooden cottages, which each sleep four to six. Interiors are bright and airy, and neutral decor throughout is simple, casual and comfortable, with crisp bedlinen, tactile throws, rustic curtains and cosy rugs.
Gables: sleeps four in two light-filled double bedrooms, set on opposite sides of the house, divided by the living/dining room. Bedroom 1 features a queen-size bed and is adjacent to the bathroom; bedroom 2 includes a king-size bed, which can be split into two single beds, and is located beside the kitchen. This traditionally built house features recycled timber walls and polished floors, and informal wooden furniture. The bathroom includes a full-size bath tub and separate toilet. Ideal for two couples.
Riverbank: this two-storey traditionally built wooden cottage sleeps six in three double bedrooms upstairs. Bedroom 1 includes a queen-size bed and is the most spacious, with an atmospheric old fire flue running through it; bedroom 2, at the back of the house, features a double-bed with an electric blanket; and smaller bedroom 3, at the front of the property, offers two single beds, ideal for kids. The bathroom, with full-size bath and toilet, is downstairs alongside the kitchen and living/dining area. Recycled timber walls and polished wood floors add to the rustic look.
Kero: this restored original timber-mill house has an old-world feel and sleeps four in two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a queen-size bed, with a window onto the front deck; bedroom 2 offers two single beds and looks out onto the back deck. The bathroom, at the back of the house, has a small bath and toilet. Painted timber floors and rustic decor makes Kero (aka Kerosene) soothing and inviting.
Rose: this charming restored timber-mill house sleeps four, plus a child, over two and a half bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is the largest, sporting a queen-size bed and a window onto the front deck; internal bedroom 2 is more compact, with two single beds, and no window; bedroom 3, in the slim window-lined sun-room at the back of the house, features a day-bed suitable for a child only. The bathroom is set between the bedrooms and includes a full-size bath and toilet. Rough-sawn timber boards line the walls of this light and airy space.
