Victoria Moore
Resident oenophile
The Guardian wine scribe Victoria says one of the most romantic nights of her life was spent in a hotel less than half a mile from her house, but she does venture further afield, too, investigating wine regions around the world. Her expertise has made her a tricky customer on occasion, sending back room-service tea in Manhattan, and getting behind the bar in Cornwall because the martinis weren’t up to scratch. Her book, How to Drink, is a guide to everyday enjoyment of the grape and the grain.
