A self-described ‘pure Parisienne’, Valérie recently celebrated 10 years as a fashion writer for French Elle, previously working in radio at major French stations RTL and Europe 1. She travels and socialises constantly and has become adept at sorting fashion gold from dross. She believes there is a distinction, with hotels as with fashion, between cheap flashy copies and the real thing – discreet, well-crafted and authentic. By nature, she is a Mediterranophile but also follows her husband to the Atlantic destinations he prefers.
