Snipper Steven Blick has been cutting hair for 24 years on three continents, including spells in Belfast, London (Shoreditch, 'natch) and Hong Kong. After founding the barber's at gents' grooming haven Captains of Industry in Melbourne, his latest venture is Herr Blick, a converted medical suite-turned-salon at 12 Collins Street. 'Thorough', 'thoughtful' and 'tasteful' are words that describe his work, and Samuel Beckett's barnet is a key inspiration. His passion for fly-fishing and vintage motorcycles are driving his fiancé Tessa Blazey crazy, but the prospect of trips to New Zealand seems to be appeasing her.
