Contributing editor Sophie Dening was one of Mr & Mrs Smith's founder editors, co-piloting the first two hotel collections with Juliet and recently returning to edit the France book. As a freelance journalist, she specialises in UK travel and restaurants, contributing to High Life, Square Meal, Country & Town House and The Daily Telegraph, for whom she seeks out the best new restaurants, food pubs, beach cafes and hotel dining rooms. When she isn't asking chefs for their foraging secrets or ordering another half of bitter shandy somewhere off the A49, Sophie likes eating figs in the South of France and rambling in East London, where she lives and works.
