Sofia Suarez

Jaunting journo

When not posing as Mrs Smith in exotic locales, challenging conventional notions of disco dancing or trying to explain her eclectic background, Sofia writes for a variety of travel guides, luxury brands and magazines. She was born in Hong Kong to her Italian mother and Filipino father. Adding to the cultural confusion, she went to high school and university in the US. Sofia can usually be found exploring the streets of Hong Kong, researching for 'The Dictator' (her acerbic weekly style advice column in the South China Morning Post), enthusiastically guiding visitors and personal shopping clients around her hometown, or plotting her next escape.
