Ellie O'Mahoney

High-tailing hack

Having worked on the features desks of Marie Claire, ES magazine and Good Housekeeping, Ellie has had the opportunity to travel very far and very wide in pursuit of a good story, and as a result, has laid her hat in some very lovely rooms. She has crossed Europe on the Orient Express, visited the Star Wars sets in the Sahara desert and slept in the Australian bush (so what if it was less outback tent and more luxury cabin with Frette sheets and a plasma screen?) Now that she is combining journalism with working on her first novel, Ellie particularly loves the creative sanctuary of the Mr and Mrs Smith hotel room. She now finds she can't write unless she's wearing a fluffy robe and has just ordered room service.
