Neale Whitaker

Accidental design guru

Neale Whitaker is the editor-in-chief of Australian interior design bible, Belle, and a regular judge on the home renovation reality TV show The Block. Childhood obsessions included aeroplanes and palm trees and several decades later, not much has changed. Just as people assume Neale must live in cutting-edge perfection (he doesn't), so they think his travel needs must run to private islands and Lear jets. They don’t. He might get excited about sexy design but at the end of the day it’s the soul and spirit of a place that keeps him coming back.
