Alex Tieghi-Walker

Zeitgeist capturer

Raised in Wales until his family decamped to Venice, Alex then spent his time on vaporetti drawing life on the canals. After driving up California’s coastline aged 18, he worked for Wallpaper* until taking a degree in Spanish and Italian literature at Durham. Not one to stray far from Italy, he returned with a peppermint-coloured bike and cycled from Portofino to Rome, eating and peddling his way through Umbria and Le Marche. Editor-in-chief of new London-Berlin-Paris arts journal A Tale of Three Cities he now lives in a tall house behind Oval, where he sketches architectural blueprints and pens food reviews.
