Zeavola
Getting there
This beachy-keen boutique retreat resides on this idyllic island of Koh Phi Phi in a breath-snatching stretch of the Andaman Sea.
- Planes Hour-long flights from Bangkok’s International Suvarnabhumi Airport to Phuket International Airport (www.phuketairportonilne.com) will get you most of the way to Koh Phi Phi. Zeavola offers a one-hour speed boat transfer from there. You can also fly into Krabi (www.krabiairportonline.com) on a daily Thai Airways flight from Bangkok, then take the ferry to Koh Phi Phi, which leaves from Chaofa Pier, just outside Krabi town.
- Others Flying aside, the only way of getting to Koh Phi Phi is by taking a 90-minute ferry ride from either Phuket, Krabi or Koh Lanta (www.phiphiferry.com), which arrive twice daily – frequency increases during high season. Be warned though, the last ferry leaves before 3pm, so you'll need to spend a night in Krabi if your plane arrives later. To skip between islands, have Zeavola’s activity centre, Zaan Zanook, organise a speed boat tour or scuba excursion, or jump aboard a longtail boat for a spot of beach-hopping.
