Getting there
- Planes Bradley International Airport is just under an hour away by car and flights land here from all over the US, as well as Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean; the private Oxford Airport can be reached in 20 minutes. The hotel arranges transfers for US$115, and taxis for an extra fee.
- Trains Waterbury Metro North is around 18 miles from the hotel – the drive shouldn't take more than half an hour. It's on the MTA Metro-North railroad (www.mta.info). Transfers can be organised for US$50.
- Automobiles The hotel is approximately an hour from New York City: you’ll need to pick up Route 6, until you come to the end of Flanders Road, where you’ll need to take a left onto Route 61 North. Follow this road through Bethlehem and into the centre of Morris. Go straight through at the four-way stop, then keep left at the fork in the road onto Alain White Road. Stay on this road for roughly half a mile, then you’ll arrive at Winvian on your left.From Boston, use Route 4 West through Farmington, Burlington and Harwinton, where it crosses with the 118 West. Take this into the centre of Litchfield, bearing right at the ‘V’ as you approach the town. When you reach the ‘stop’ sign, go straight onto Route 202 West and follow this for five sets of traffic lights. Take a left onto Constitution Way, then a right at the end onto Whites Woods Road, which you need to follow for three miles until you reach Winvian on your right. Valet parking is available when you arrival. Parking is free.
