The Spire
Overview
Welcomes. Baby cots (NZ$70 a night plus tax) or extra beds ($180) can be added to all suites, and qualified nannies can be arranged to babysit for an evening or for your entire stay (from NZ$15 an hour).
Best for
Any age, but teens with a wild side will love sports-mad Queenstown.
Recommended rooms
All rooms are identical. Teens over 16 will require their own room; only one younger child can share an adult room.
Activities
Queenstown's many adventure activities and natural pursuits are great for children, with many of them offering options for younger folk. Skiing, swimming and white-water rafting are just three of the draws for kids in and around the area.
Meals
Children are allowed in The Spire's restaurant at all times, which can offer a special children's menu, high chairs and packed lunches for kids. Staff are happy to heat up baby food or milk for guests too.
Babysitting
Babysitting is available with a local nanny, from NZ$15 per hour, given two hours' notice.
No need to pack
The hotel can provide all necessary kids and baby kit, from buggies to changing mats, via local company Tots on Tour. It can also put a microwave in your room for children's food needs on request.
Also
Just let the hotel know your requirements in advance, as some of its child-friendly services need to be booked ahead of time or paid for separately.
