Recommended rooms

There's a high proportion of interconnecting rooms, and most rooms are large enough for an extra bed or cot. Children aged 16 and under stay free in parent's room.

Activities

London is on your doorstep, and the concierge can arrange tickets for everything from a Ducktour in an amphibious bus, to Madame Taussauds. There's a PlayStation 2 console and games to borrow on request.

Meals

Children are only allowed in the Metropolitan's Nobu restaurant at breakfast, and children's food is available on the room service menu. Staff are happy to heat up baby food and milk, and can provide child-friendly packed lunches on request.

Babysitting

Babysitters and nannies from the Hopes and Dreams nursery school are available for a minimum of four hours. It costs between £10 and £14 an hour, plus a £14.50 booking fee.

No need to pack

There are high chairs available in the restaurant, and they can be used in bedrooms on request. Kids' bathrobes are also available on request.

Also

All rooms have TVs and DVD players, and minibars that have space for milk. The two-night Honey I Brought the Kids package is available at weekends (£499 per night for two interconnecting room). The package includes champagne for parents; milkshakes and cookies for children, plus various toys and vouchers depending on the age of the child (teenies get teddy bears, teenagers HMV vouchers).
