Getting there
- Planes London Heathrow is a 40-minute drive away. The hotel will transfer you for £95.
- Trains Jump in a cab for five minutes and you’ll be at Paddington station, from where you’ll be able to get all over the country. First Great Western (www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk) operates west-bound routes to Bristol, Wales and Devon. You’ll also be able to catch the Heathrow Express from here. Hop on the Tube at Marble Arch (served by the speedy Central line), two minutes from the hotel.
- Automobiles The hotel is on Great Cumberland Place, opposite the monument of Marble Arch and within the capital’s congestion-charging zone. You won’t need a car to get around, but if you arrive in one, park it at the nearby NCP for £20 a day. Valet parking will cost you £33 every 24 hours.
