Tenface
Overview
In spite of its nightclub connotations, Tenface welcomes kids. Baby cots are free and extra beds cost THB1,400. Children aged four to 12 are entitled to a 50 per cent discount on food and babysitting rates start at US$7.50 an hour.
Best for
Any age, but older kids and teens should like the funky wall graphics, flatscreen TVs, iPods and podcasts.
Recommended rooms
The two-bedroom suites offer more privacy for family groups and come with fully-fledged kitchens if you'd rather cook for the kids.
Activities
Lumpini Park is a short walk away if the smalls are craving green play space.
Swimming pool
There's no shallow end, so the pool's not best-suited for infants.
Meals
There isn't a dedicated children's menu at the restaurant, but many of the offerings – pizza, pasta, sandwiches – are kid-friendly, and little folk are welcome any time. Staff are also happy to heat up food and milk for parents with babies.
Babysitting
For one child, babysitting costs US$7.50 for the first hour and US$4.50 an hour thereafter; for two children, US$12 and US$4.50 respectively. An additional taxi charge of US$3 applies after 10pm.
No need to pack
Baby cots, which are supplied free of charge.
Also
The hotel can provide extra beds for older children for THB1,400. Room types above and including the two-bedroom suites come with a handy washer/dryer, fridge, dishwasher, two-plate electric stove and a microwave; ideal for families and longer stays.
