The Guestbook

Shoreditch Rooms is the perfect location from which to enjoy all that east London has to offer. Enjoyed an excellent meal at Bistrotheque in Bethnal Green, followed by a trip downstairs to watch the Lip Synkers who were great fun. The rest of the weekend was spent exploring a variety of local markets: Brick Lane, Columbia Road and Spitalfields and shopping 'till we dropped. Shoreditch House offers really personalised service with staff who really can't do enough for you. Combine that with amazing views across the city and a bathroom full of beautiful Cowshed products and you really couldn't choose anywhere better for a weekend break. Can't wait to return.

Shoreditch Rooms is a very lovely hotel in a strategic position to go everywhere in London. Staff are absolutely efficient, kind and professional, rooms are fab, everyone is in their own little world where you can relax and have your rest in the best way. Unfortunately, during my stay I didn't have time to use the facilities of the spa or gym but I will do for sure next time because there will be a next time.

For the in-room Cowshed goodies alone, this hotel is worth the stay. When you throw in the fantastic bar and the rooftop pool, this has just become one of my personal favourites in London. If you're looking for Christmas shopping ideas, opposite the hotel is a popup mall called Boxpark with a huge collection of minishops and brands that could solve all your shopping dilemmas in one trip.

Brawn on Columbia Road is one of the most welcoming places I've eaten at in London for a while. Down a few back streets from Shoreditch House, its got a certain buzz about it from all the reviews too.

This is a great option for business travel to London as it is only a five minute walk from Liverpool Street station with lots of options for getting to the City and the West End but is alot more interesting and comfortable than the usual business hotel. Start your day with a swim in the rooftop pool and finish it with dinner in the hotel's restaurant with an amazing view of the London skyline. Highly enjoyable.

St. John Bread and Wine is an easy and lovely London stroll from Shoreditch House, and is directly opposite Spitalfields Market. Seasonal indigenous ingredients and a penchant for the 'whole beast' make this a fantastically satisfying dining option that is casual but makes you feel in the know. Excellent wine by the glass and sharing is encouraged.

Definitely eat at the rooftop restaurant if you can as it's an incredible spot. If in the main restaurant go for a seat near the pizza guys and watch them tossing the bases in the air and making the pizzas from scratch in no time at all.

We absolutely adored this hotel -anywhere with Nutella crepes on the breakfast menu is fine by me!

The rooms are beautifully minimalist but well equipped with gadgets and Cowshed goodies. There were so many in our room that I insisted on washing each limb with a different scented shower gel, just so I could try them all!

The location is superb. Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane and the boutiques of Shoreditch are all walkable. If you want to spread your wings further, the nearest tube station is literally across the road.

But the best bit? The rooftop bar! Laying under the stars on a huge cushioned day bed with the London skyline spread in front of you is a spectacular way to pass a boozey evening! Just don't be tempted to whip out you camera, as the bar areas have a strict no-photo policy -we chanced it and got a stern telling off!

If you want a contemporary reasonably priced hotel for the night only 15 minutes by foot from Liverpool St Station this is the hotel for you. Wonderful bed with plenty of Cowshed spa products to use in the bathroom, but if you do fancy a pampering there is a cowshed spa in the hotel. We loved the rooftop swimming pool a little slice of heaven in the middle of london you would forget where you were were it not for the view of the iconic gherkin building and the higgledy piggledy rooftops of london. My husband and I would have taken advantage of the hotel facilties more had we not had plans to watch a film at the electric cinema on Portobello Road in Notting Hill followed by wonderful pan asian food at E&O restaurant, would definitely highly recommend Shoreditch House and will be returning.
