The Guestbook
We had a sea view and awoke to the most glorious winter sunrise. This prompted us to immediately take a walk along the coast in front of the hotel – a very welcome breath of fresh air after the Christmas festivities – followed by a relaxing day in the spa. Lovely.

Had a great trip to Seaham. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were upgraded on arrival. The spa was well equipped and we enjoyed our treatments.

My wife and I turned up for dinner, blissfully unaware of the Michelin-star rating, and were treated to some amazing food! We can recommend the Cheese Chariot for dessert. Also, if you're a fan of single malts, we highly recommend the bar for its splendid collection. PS: Take That and Oasis have stayed here!

Didn't venture out!

I must confess that we didn't venture out of the hotel and spa for two days, save for sitting in the hot tubs on the terrace. The White Room restaurant at Seaham Hall is fabulous and well deserves its Michelin star.

Fantastic couple of days at the hotel where I proposed to my girlfriend. The restaurant was excellent, but perhaps we should have eaten elsewhere on one night! The spa is beautiful and its use is free for hotel guests.

When staying at the hotel don't pass up the opportunity to eat in the amazing Michelin-starred restaurant. We had one of the most wonderful meals we've ever eaten, starting with tasty little canapes served in the bar – try the hotel's own special recipe bloody mary, definitely the best Mr Smith has ever tasted. For the main meal, the food was spectacular the setting tranquil (ask for the top table if possible, situated in the bay with lovely views over the terrace) and the staff discreetly attentive.

Outstanding hotel and spa. After staying at the hotel we traveled up to Holy Island for a stunning drive down the Northumbria coast – would avoid the Manor House Hotel (I think someone there fraudulently used my credit card), but would definitely take a trip up to the coastline and especially a walk along the beach at Bamburgh Castle.

What a beautiful place. The interior design kept us quiet whilst we wandered around and the underground tunnel to the spa was instant relaxation.
