Getting there
- Planes From Johannesburg, connect with SA Express Airways (www.flysaa.com) to Hoedspruit, where the hotel can provide a 35-minute transfer. From Cape Town, take the SA Airlink (www.saairlink.co.za) to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, and Royal Malewane can then arrange an air transfer to its private airfield (25 minutes in a light aircraft). Guests can also charter their own flights directly onto the private airstrip.
- Automobiles A car will be useful for seeing the small, scenic towns surrounding Royal Malewane, each with the backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountains. Estimated journey times are five hours from Johannesburg and two and a half from Nelspruit.
