The Guestbook
Delightful hotel, relaxed atmosphere, ideally located to explore the city. In the evenings, just stroll around the narrow alleyways of the old quarter, which has plentiful shops, bars and restaurants.

Dear Mr & Mrs Smith, booking our trip through you was such a pleasure. Jazz Robinson took care of every detail. The staff at the Neri were wonderful, the breakfast fantastic and the location couldn't have been better. We look forward to another stay.

Thanks so much for a lovely stay. We requested a room with a balcony and were lucky enough to get one, despite the hotel being fully booked. It was room 305 and was extremely quiet despite being in the heart of the city. As the hotel is set in a no traffic area and so beautiful, we plan to return here on our next visit.

As it was my husband's 40th, I thought I'd push the boat out and book the Neri, and it was worth every penny. As our taxi worked its way through the narrow streets in the Gothic quarter to reach the hotel, we started to appreciate the location, and upon entering the hotel with its subtle but luxurious finishing, we realised we'd struck gold. Our Junior Suite room 302 had the most amazing view of the square, which was stunning with its little fountain and yellow blossom falling from the trees. The square, whilst a public space, also acts as a playground and classroom for the primary school which is situated in the square. There's also a church, the entrance of which is riddled with bullet holes from the war. The room itself was sumptuous and romantic, with a wonderful bathroom and cosy sofa. The staff at the hotel were polite and welcoming, and within 10 minutes of being in our room our Cava was delivered courtesy of Mr & Mrs Smith so we slipped into our fluffy dressing gowns and enjoyed it. The only disappointment was that for the price I would have hoped breakfast could be included. We did have breakfast on the first morning and it was wonderful, the pancakes were stunning and I could have eaten them all day. We also enjoyed a taster menu in the hotel, which was excellent quality and good value; however for a real Spanish flavour it’s good to explore the wonderful restaurants and Tapas bars on offer within a short walking distance. I would recommend purchasing a ticket for the open top buses which operate daily. It was a great way to see Barcelona and appreciate the architecture and beauty of the city. I would happily spend a week exploring it, especially with Hotel Neri as my base, we couldn't have imagined a better location in terms of beauty and accessibility to the sights. Even when it rained it was fun to sit in a bar and watch the world go by. I'd recommend this hotel it was worth every penny.

Fabulous hotel in the centre of the gothic quarter of Barcelona. Great location. And we'd recommend Cerveceria Catalana on Calle Mallorca for an awesome tapas experience. Enjoy.

Once found, Neri is a super hotel, very quirky and merits inclusion in Mr & Mrs. Bathrooms have very unusual wall finishes. Would have loved to stay longer.
