The Guestbook

A lovely bed and breakfast – we had a great stay. Handy being near the centre of St Mawes – easy to get out and about for food and over to Falmouth via the ferry. On Friday night, pop down to the Rising Sun for fish and chips – great value and a huge portion. The Ferryman Inn at Helford Passage is also worth visiting. Excellent food and atmosphere; whether you take the coastal walk which is stunning, or arrive via road, the food is local and good. Also, for the perfect Sunday dinner, go the Kings Head at Ruan Lanihorne – great pub and worth the short drive. And on your way back, pop in to the church at St Just – a beautiful setting.

This B&B was exceptional, surpassing our expectations, and the local area was stunning. We ate at The Rising Sun in St Mawes, just a few mintues walk from Nearwater and the food was excellent. Top tip – it is very busy between 6.30pm-8pm and then it goes very quiet.
